FLOOD WATCH ENDED: OTTAWA RIVER

SOUTH NATION JURISDICTION ALONG THE OTTAWA RIVER – South Nation Conservation (SNC) has ended the Flood Watch issued April 21, 2017 for the Ottawa River along the municipal boundary of the Township of Alfred and Plantagenet.

The Ottawa River Regulation Planning Board has reported water levels on the main stem of the Ottawa River between Chats Lake and the Montreal are expected to continue to slowly decline over the next few days.

SNC staff will continue to monitor the water levels as part of the Flood Forecasting and Warning program and will provide on updates as required.

SNC encourages the public to visit www.nation.on.ca and to also provide feedback with respect to changes in water-related conditions in their local areas.
