Discover the World of Sweet Maple Syrup
Join South Nation Conservation (SNC) on April 7 and 8 to discover the world of sweet Ontario maple syrup during Maple Weekend, organized by the Ontario Maple Syrup Producer’s Association.
Ontario maple syrup farms are known for producing some of the highest quality syrup in the world. During Maple Weekend, local producers will be offering a range of activities including fresh syrup sampling, pancake breakfasts, sugarbush trails, sugar-making demonstrations, taffy on snow, horse-drawn sleigh rides and more!
“SNC will be handing out hot chocolate to visitors from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at 4 of the Eastern Ontario farms participating in the event,” said Kelsey Smith, SNC’s Communications and Outreach Assistant.
On April 7, SNC will be on-site at Rollin Sugar Shack in Navan and La Cabane des Gars in Fournier. On April 8, SNC will be at Barkleyvale Farms in Chesterville and Proulx Maple and Berry Farm in Cumberland.
“Join us to learn more about the traditions of maple syrup production and for an experience that is truly Canadian!”
Visit www.mapleweekend.ca for a detailed description of each sugarhouse, including their location and the specific activities that they will be offering over Maple Weekend.
